Pacific Raceway Combo #2 Photos
 

Congratulations to Kelly Thomas and his '94 Dodge truck on the win in the second S/SS combo at Pacific Raceway in Kent, Washington. James Boyce bit the bottom bulb with his '88 Mustang for the RU position.

Weather was great and the car count was good considering Bremerton had another three day race scheduled and (I believe) Mission is open. The race was a twilight affair, which made photography more of a challenge, but I will post what I have later.

I think it was just road racing at Mission this weekend other than the Friday street legal drags. I suppose a person could have run Bremerton and Pacific both, wonder if anyone did? Supershifter class at Bremerton gets Stock and SS cars like Dave Barcelons Chevy II.

Great job, as usual, with the photos, Dale. Glad I had a chance to finally meet you. Good luck with your Mustang project.


We had 18 cars at this event Saturday. Some, who are usually there, had other things going on. Some with breakage and one guy got married. Good luck to Brad Burton and his wife, may they have many years together. Anyway, good weather and lots of fast cars to watch. Good to see Pat Brooks out again, but sorry that he had issues for a second time. Hope he comes back again when the car is running great.


Good luck to all the guys that are going to Mission this weekend.

Thanks to everybody for the turn out was a great night of racing. I think the only track related problem was for Alan Falcone in the semi's when it cooled off at night, I think that is a first for us. See you all at the next race June 20th or at mission this weekend. My phone doesn't work In Canada so no live updates from me.

There were 4 cars at Bremerton all weekend, Gary Howe in the BC Super Shifter deal, Brian Thompson with both of his cars in the brackets. He is doing very well in points at Bremerton so needed to be there. Also Pete Oliviero was there in the brackets also doing well in points. Two of the competitors from Saturday went over to Bremerton on Sunday, Brian Seaberg in his Comet and Steve Horton in his Maverick. Congrats to Brian and his Comet for his win in Sportsman on Sunday.


Good luck to these guys and others who are making the trip to Mission for the Divisional this weekend.


Just a side note - - Congrats to Dave Barcelon for the great 5 page article on his S/S Nova in the July 2015 issue of Drag Racer magazine.
