CCRA event + rescheduled St. Patrick's Classic March 20-22
 

Loose Rocker's St. Patrick's Classic originally scheduled for this weekend at Virginia Motorsports Park has been postponed one week, to March 20-22, due to weather. The Carolina Class Racers Association already had a 1/4-mile S/SS Combo scheduled for Saturday, March 21, and it will go on as scheduled. This will also give some guys an opportunity to run the S/SS Combo and our big money bracket race if they so choose. We had a number of S/SS cars run with us last year, and we enjoy having them, since we are Class Racers, too! Looking forward to showcasing them in their own eliminator this time. The CCRA races have always been a bunch of fun.

Has it been determined yet how the CCRA race schedule will interact with the bracket race schedule?

* Run as a 3rd class in the overall run order - i.e.: No Box, Box, CCRA?
* CCRA eliminations start after a certain round of the bracket race?

Obviously the CCRA S/SS Combo is a separate eliminator. I would expect the run order to be: Footbrake, S/SS, Top ET. Saturday's schedule for our bracket racers is for just 1 time shot. S/SS cars will get 2 time trials. That would put 1st round of the S/SS eliminations following the Footbrake Re-Entry round.

MotorManiaTV will be at the PDRA event in Texas. Their 2nd team is down at the moment and will not be available for our event. Although it's not live, Lisa King from BracketRaceCentral has often taken video at our events and posts them on YouTube after the event.

Chris Simmons will be on-site, handling all of the photography.
Robert Kinton will be working heard of staging.

Friday's combination of cold and rain is going to make that day an impossibility, but we have a great forecast for Saturday and Sunday. Instead of a 3-day 5/10/5, we will have a 2-day 10/10 program for you, Saturday-Sunday. Virginia Motorsports Park's Thursday Test n' Tune ($30, 3pm-9pm) is still on, for those needing the track time. You can still park on Friday. The CCRA S/SS Combo will be contested Saturday as scheduled.

We are making Sunday's $5K a $10K with our standard single-day $10K entry fee and re-entry. We are also raising the Semifinal money to $1,200 for both classes on BOTH days. Sunday will have DOUBLE round prizes awarded!
We're looking forward to finally shaking off everything that Mother Nature has thrown at us, and hope to see you all this weekend at VMP!
