Cost to ship a race car from SD to MD any idea?

Hello all.

I was wondering what it might cost to ship a race car from SD to MD.
Any idea?
Also has any body ship any cars and who did you use?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, I had one shipped from Topeka, KS to north Lousiana back in '08. Cost me about $550.

You can get quotes from lots of different places online. Some have their own trucks. Some are just brokers that use an independent trucker that is or will be in a certain area where the car is located.

My estimate for your haul would be about a thousand bucks. :)

You can Google up all sorts of helpful info on auto shippers. Here's a few links.

Not sure how much for a car, but i had 2 trailers shipped from Ga. & N.C. and used
uship.com You will get quotes from different carriers & you can view there profiles
& reviews from other people that used there services.

Anyway, the people that delivered my trailers were both good, kept in touch with me the whole time they were on the way up to NJ.

Also, i had there phone numbers too.

I'll have to look for the paperwork - it was a company out of Mass.
A friend in the business did all the leg work.

I had a car shipped from east coast to CA and I used Horseless Carriage Carriers.

I went with them because I wanted enclosed transport and I didn't want to deal with a broker who would start pointing fingers if something went wrong.
I also didn't want them driving the car onto the trailer, so they had to use a wench. The accommodated everything I asked for and I was very happy with delivery. They where also 5 bills cheaper than Reliable.

We are shipping a race car from New Jersey to the San Francisco area. I looked at three companies and decided upon Horseless Carriage Carriers, Inc., (800) 631-7796http://classracer.com/classforum/dat...AAAElFTkSuQmCC). They were easy to work with, enclosed carrier and insured.
