It is with a heavy heart that I want to let everyone know my father Al passed away this morning. He was my father, best friend, mentor and crew chief. I would have never been able to race without his help and guidance. Now he can be reunited with his race partner and friend of 50+ years Don Studley and start racing together in heaven. God speed and thank you for everything you've done.

Re: Al Etter

Our whole family is truly dismayed and heartbroken
to hear the news today.

I count your Dad as a close friend and so do both
my boys.

When I came back to racing in the early 90's, I certainly would
have quit without the help that you and your dad gave us!

I fondly remember the times I came to your Dad's and sometimes
spent days in his home having him teach me the skills and knowledge to race Stock.
He was always beyond generous of his time and patience with his often not very bright student.

I further knew well of your father strong abiding Christian Faith.......I look forward to the eternity
we will spend together in Heaven.
