1964 impala question
 

My brother has a 1964 impala.
I have a question about the side moldings.
On some 64's the trim is on the top body line only.
On some it wraps around at the back and goes forward again along the lower body line. (like his)
He has some new trim for it and the in-dent is white, the original was black.
What is the correct thing and why the differences.

The car is just a standard 327 auto impala not an SS.
It is white in color.

Im pretty sure in 64 Super Sports, Impalas,Bel airs, and Biscaynes all had different side moldings.Pm me if you are looking for moldings.

Regular Impala molding in '64 had the raparound style like you described,, also on '64 Nova SS and Chevelle SS hardtops.
Impala SS had the thicker molding only,,, full length along the beltline.
