If you are asking about Divisionals, they are not covered by DRC in real time..Been that way for two years, Dan
Not in the budget.
Denver Nat's is up now.

Re: Drc

FYI...after 13 years of covering the Northeast Division for DRC, I have started a site and am providing coverage today. The website is:

www.northeastdragrace.com

I am sometimes not able to get to the track early Friday but get caught up by the afternoon and have coverage throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday for the divisional races.

We have Summit to thank for that BTW. As much as they do for sportsmen it's hard to be vindictive and stop supporting them but I've questioned their logic on this move via voice messages and emails, none of which have been responded to.

The thing to do is find the right contact person at Summit, and start a petition drive. Get enough people with the right position on the subject, and they tend to listen.

REALLY? How about a "thanks for all the stuff you've done for us for FREE for years and years, and for enabling us to watch races LIVE on MotorManiaTV"? I guess DRC has become an entitlement.

I've been corrected a bit ..
Only one LODRS per division were cut from the live coverage last year.
The delayed coverage at all divisionals actually started this year.
It just seems like longer than that!

I don't think "entitlement" so please don't accuse me of that. I do think of it as part of a service package for racers who've patronized them with thousand$ over a span of many years. A simple courtesy of responding to my inquiries into their marketing/advertising strategy for the budget change would have helped. Despite their earnest efforts MotorManiaTV doesn't work for me because I personally don't have time to sit behind a computer all day. A concise reporting of the day's race is my preferred method of delivery for this service. And who the heck thinks that anything offered by any company is "FREE"?

Periodically some hapless soul starts a thread along the lines of "Where the heck is DRC?" implying they have somehow been let down by Larry and his merry band of DRC reporters (since they obviously missed the very detailed thread that laid it all out). They deserve the answer that Summit redirected the budgetary support elsewhere. I appreciate what DRC does with the budget sponsorship provided by D4's Sunset Engines and the D6's Woodburn Dragstrip and others. I'm quite sure that pulling all the feeds from tracks at days end in lieu of having a live reporter is a arduous task and I think DRC deserves a great deal of thanks despite the budget cutbacks. They don't deserve "where the heck is DRC".
