Does anyone out there know of an i phone app for weather
to be used at tracks for race applications thanks in advance for any answers ...Bryan stk 511

I have two on my iPhone that aren't "weather" apps per say but one gives you the physical altitude where you are standing. It's called "Altimeter" And the other called "Density" gives you the corrected altitude. Both are pretty accurate so far. You can get both at the app store. Jim

DragTimes ap. Pretty neat. Has location and elevation information for most every dragstrip, density alititude, and real-time weather changes. Plus some neat fun stuff like HP estimator, etc.

I have Race IQ on my phone. But for some reason the readings on it are no where near what my weather station are (Off about 800 feet). And its not much good at tracks that are out in the boonies as it uses info from airports to calculate DA.

Jim , can you give anymore info on the "density" app ....... as to which one ?

Rick, it's a very simple app and I believe it is called "Density". At the top it says "Simple Density Altitude Calculation". Jim

Yes. 1. Physical altitude 2. Temperature 3. Barometric Pressure. That's it. It will then calculate Corrected Altitude. Jim
