CLASS RACER FORUM - Best Rod Choice for SBF 302

NHRA central tech office has told me that only the rods on the list can be used in my SSGT build. I asked Scat to submit an H beam and they told me NHRA wouldn't approve an H if an I was available. So..

Of the rods on the list that are still available the choices are a Crower I beam in 4340 or an Eagle I beam in 5140. The Crower is expensive, but so are H beams, which are recommended by my machine shop. It's also a work of art.

Any suggestions?
