Keith has the better light and runs closer to his dial and losses ???

I saw this too and thought the same thing. All my dad and I could surmise is lynch gave up the stripe. Or there was a "problem". Not the first time I've seen the same thing.

I doubt if anyone will shed some light (explain) on how this happened. The clocks aren't supposed to lie!

Re: This does not add up!

My guess is Leo's dial in is mistyped on DRC. His dial in should be 10.57 which would make the numbers add up and show his .082 package crossing .004 in front of Keith Lynch's .086 package.

You're correct. The summary of the eliminator corrected his dial.

Re: This does not add up!

If a clock operator enters an incorrect dial, then corrects it without reentering both cars, the dial change is not picked up through the data feed. If the reporter doesn't notice the change and manually enter the correct dial, you get what you saw there. The data feed still flags the correct winner, but the numbers don't add up.
