Dodge Colt
Can I run a Dodge Colt whit a 426 hemi in ss/gt class ?

Re: Dodge Colt
Doubtful. I don't know what the shipping weight on one of those cars is, but I imagine it's pretty light. With either a 500 hp (Race Hemi) or 450 hp (Street Hemi) rating, it'll likely break WAAAAY under the 7.5 lb/hp number you'd need to stay above to run GT/AA.

If it was legal, it sure would take a lot of kahunas to drive it!

Re: Dodge Colt
The Dodge Colt was a RWD car. To run GT it had to be originally equipped with at least a V6. Probably why you don't see any Vegas running GT.

Re: Dodge Colt
Paul,
I'm well aware of that, but a car that's 7.50 lbs/hp can "move down" a class into GT/AA, right? I was operating under the assumption that the Colt wouldn't even have a prayer of making that #, nevermind 8.00 lb/hp. |
Re: Dodge Colt
One, I would love to see someone do that. Two, could that combo run SS/AM or SS/AS, instead of GT/AA?

Re: Dodge Colt
Legally, since they used to run this car in Pro Stock, I believe that you could run it in Modified. This would be so cool in SS/AM with a 366 de-stroked Hemi. However, I think reality would set in when you tried to drop the engine in with stock fender splash pans and realize that the only way they made it work back in the day was with MacPherson struts, and even then, it was tight.
