Sean, what fuel were you using, and which VP did you put in the car? Mike

is it possible that the gas in your car was last years and it was very stale and or the tank was low. made a pass on stale gas along with low level in tank, then added new fresh gas and plenty of it so pick up in tank never got any air and now alot of e.t. shows up. not really just fuel change that made .50 pick up in e.t.

I don't see much gain or loss in any legal fuels! I used C12 and C11 a few years ago. Switched to Sunoco Blue (Supreme) and now use Sunoco Purple. I've run just as fast, if not faster with the Purple than I ever did with either VP!

The only gains of any significance were a few years back with the ERC, which is now illegal, although you still get a whif of it every now and then at the track!!

i have always used sounco purple 110 the gas was not old i just did not have enough to get through the weekend so i drained it and had to puschase vp c12 and thats what i put in the car and it just flat ran also my dad runs vp in his car but it doesnot make a differance we have play with fuel on his car before but no diff so we never tried it on mine

Picked up .03-.05 in the 1/8th going from Sunoco Purple to Torco Blue.

All depends on your jetting, though. Different fuels may need different setups.

Beard.....03- .05 in the 1/8, just swithing fuels? That would be about .10 in the quarter!!! What else did you do? Change tires, take weight out and ice the intake??? Or did you spin on the first run and hook on the second??

There are too many variables, I think, to just say a fuel picks you up over another fuel. For example, did you cool all of your fluids down to where they were on the first run? I know my car picks up a little on the second run, just from the oil, trans fluid and rear end being warmed up. Did you run the same lane? Did you leave the line exactly the same? Did you shift at exactly the same rpm?

I was comparing et's from my log books from when I used VP, Sunoco Blue, and now Sunoco Purple........and I've found I'm running faster now then ever. So take it for what it's worth!!
