My lovely wife has surprised me with my 40th birthday weekend in L.A. w/ tickets to Sunday's finals. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice restaurant in the Orange County area along the beach. any must see attractions?

I would recommend a stay or meal aboard the Queen Mary at Long Beach. It was a great time.

hey eman...with all the weekend traffic and such how long a drive from the races to long beach? anybody done that? sure sounds sweet...btw do they allow you to stay/sleep with your rigs @ Pomona?

Richie, Long Beach approx. 45 miles and about 1 hour. I can't give you current traffic patterns! (lol) Pomona is just like any Nat. event - pit and stay. Wife & I stayed onboard and I love that stuff. The wife thought it was alittle spooky. They do have ghosts!!! E

In Long Beach go accross the bay from the Ship to Bemont Shores and eat til you puke good stuff there

Thanks Steve, having a blast, got up and went surfing yesterday, getting ready to head the races this morning, couldn't ask for a better weekend.
