Passing of Buddy Scurto

New England Dragway is mourning the loss of New England Dragway Tech Director Buddy Scurto. He died on Friday, October 25.
Buddy has been part of the New England Dragway program since the track opened in 1966. He spent many years racing his favorite marquee, Mopar, in a variety of classes. Several years ago Buddy decided to step away from active racing and focus on safety by taking over as the track’s Tech Director.
Buddy was recognized as one of the most knowledgeable tech inspectors on the east coast. He was tough, but fair.
The entire drag racing community will miss him.”
Arrangements for Buddy will be announced as soon as they are available.

So sorry to hear this. Buddy was always a pleasure to deal with, and treated all the bracket racers and stocker/super stockers very well. He was so patient with my 16 year old daughter her first tech card time, on a track rental day. NED will not be the same without him.
