Best 12V battery trickle charger?
Looking for a good quality one that will mantain the battery and not burn the garage down. Tried calling Schumacher with a few questions on theirs, left messages but no call backs.
Thanks |

Re: Best 12V battery trickle charger?
I have to say over the last 40+ years I have been racing I have used many, many types and brands of battery chargers. From Sears to Shumacher and all in between. The last eight or so years I have used the Deltran Battery Tender and am very pleased. (they are made about five miles from me) At the PRI this past year the guys at Odyssey told me my batteries should last about three seasons in a race car. When I told them mine were six years old they were stunned. They both said a good battery charger was the key to long battery life. Also I have never gotten over a year and a half out of the batteries in my John Deer tractor (lawn mower). Using the Battery Tender my last battery just went south after five years! Yeah, I love the Battery Tender! Jim

Re: Best 12V battery trickle charger?
I have been using a Deltran Battery Tender for years with great results. There is also a new player on the market called the NOCO Genius.
