Hood Scoop Placement

Last year there were some threads about hood scoop issues. I am currenly trying to make my scoop pan more efficient by installing an air bell base that it does not have.I have been trying to find an article by Rick Jones (RJ Race Cars) that describes the dimensional positioning of the scoop to the carburator. Can anyone point in the right direction? The sales people at RJ do not know or cannot provide this info and a WWW search has not come up with it either.

Bob,
I have the information you are looking for.
PM me and I'll email or fax it to you along with quite a bit more scoop placement information I've collected over the years.

Well worth the time to place it correctly and clean up the air flow to the carb.
I found nearly 2 mph with a new scoop and radiused inlet on the pan.
