There's nothing like a soft horsepower rating to make a fast car.

Re: SS/IA Class

No arguement on the rating. However, he is a good driver and those guys at Engines Inc can make fast cars and I don't beleve he deserves any less credit for the class win as any other Drag Pak, Cobra Jet or COPO. I beleve they are all underfactored to some extent. But it still is fast.

Congrats Larry and crew! Knowing this 360 combination, NHRA should rate the new chevy 350 at 250 hp!!!

Why not rate all of them what they really can produce? Engine builders must submit the Dino results to NHRA for every motor. Then people couldn't whine that so and so has a soft combo.

You can't rate motors on how much hp they make, because different engine builders can take the same motor and make more or less hp. You have to rate them based on their potential. There are any number of people who visit this site who are capable of this. All you have to do is look at the specs , including cam, compression, size, carb or throttle body, head flow, and any number of things.

This isn't the same game it was 10 years ago. If you want to go fast, you need a newer car. There are plenty of them out there so your going to need to bust your butt to beat the other new super cars. Congrats on a fine, well-respected SS/IA Indy class win.
