in over 45 years in the auto service business, never had a customer ask for Castrol oil...most never ask for any brand....

BP is world wide after the mess in the gulf I'm sure the U. S. market is not
a priority cant remember the last castrol commercial I saw on tv

im not losing sleep over it one bit, Castrol never did much for sportsman racing after they did away with the multi-team they use to have with sportsman cars. i tried castrol in my race car once, way to much detergent in it, always looked dirty. Like Quaker State when Bernstein took everybodys deal, Force did the same to castrol. Dont let the door hit you in the ***.

I like Castrol products, their oils do not break down. A few years back they were developing their synthetic ATF, TransMax. Very good product, and now available over the counter. Sorry to see them out of Drag Racing, sign of the times.

Poor exposure to the same OLD crowd with Force. Even having the daughter "on display" couldn't keep Ford and Castrol around.

How many million$ do you think those two companies wrote off for the Team Force extravaganza?

Add the money up divide it by TERRIBLE TV ratings and it doesn't take a genius to go elsewhere with your cash if you are as big as BP (Castrol) and Ford.

I predict those two will not be the last two BIG COMPANIES to bail from the sinking ship.
