All kidding aside I hope this sale goes well for racers. We do not need another drag strip bulldozed in North Carolina. There is a lot of history in drag racing in the Benson area, Easy Street, Broadslab.

Here's a notice that appeared on the Auction website -

"All of the property is under contract and the Track will remain open with some new events! Stay tuned for details and press release in the near future! Thanks for all those that came to the auction. See you on Thursday nights!"

So there's still hope that the "NEW" Dunn-Benson will be around for a little while longer! Now go out and support your local drag strip!

Lew, that track is a good track. We went Saturday and only about 10 or 12 cars showed up but still the track crew worked had for a good track for us to run on.
