No, but be weary of any proposal to give you a cashiers check over and above the amount of the item and shipping with a request you send the part and the difference in actual part + shipping. They want your part for free plus real money (yours) in exchange for their phony check. One day when you least need it, your bank will discover the bad check and deduct it from your account.
I suggest you receive funds from a verified PayPal account, cash or bank wire transfer.

DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT USE PAYPAL VERIFIED OR NOT.
What has been happening on this scam is the purchaser claims to received a empty box or a box of rocks or wheel weights and files a claim with a photo of said box.
Paypal always takes the purchaser's side and you loose it all after the purchaser sends back to you the box of whatever he took a picture of and documents that to Paypal with shipping info.
Seller gets box of crap back nothing else.
Seller looses everything.
This happens in the states and overseas.

WTB is a scam that has been going on for some time now. I got bit by it too. Basically you put a post on the internet wanting to buy something. Usually its something expensive or hard to buy. And the vultures come out and say they have it and where to send the money. Then they disappear. Best to use paypal if you are buying from someone you do not know. If you are on the fence as to whether or not its a scam. Tell them your (insert family member here) lives not to far from them and you would like them to come over and take a look before you send the money. If its a scam you will never hear from them again. They dont want you to know where they actually are it makes it too easy for the law to track them down.

If you are selling something. Require a USPS money order ONLY. And take it to the post office to cash it. Never take a western union money order.

The easiest way to combat this problem is to take the items directly to a UPS store and pay them to package, insure and ship them. Then when they pull this crap UPS will get involved and its not pretty for the crook trying to rip you off. All UPS stores have cameras in them. They will pull the video and show them to the crook of thier items being packaged and shipped. Once they sign for them they own them. I got caught up in this one too. But had insurance to cover the items I was shipping. UPS did not want to pay me for a set of cylinder heads I shipped to a crook in Denton Texas. I will say they did not relent. They proved the video to the police down there and the thief got arrested after they did some looking and found where he had sold my heads to someone else. Not sure what the outcome was last I heard he was trying to plead it out.
