5 x 100 bolt patterrn 15 x 3 wheels?

Got an answer from the Fed regarding my Achieva. Reversed their judgement and decided they aren't going to confiscate the vehicle. It's actually my step sons car, long story, he's not going to need a vehicle for a long time.

Eventually going to resurrect this project.

Was searching for some "front runners" to place on the rear of the vehicle. Only wheels I've found are the Weld Magnums. They are $7-800 a wheel, ouch! I'd have more in the wheels and tires than the cars presently worth.

Are there any other options out there? Appreciate any input. One track I ran at last year thought we carried too much water out to the starting line with the stock wheel and tire combination. Other FWD cars I've noted, do use 15x3's w/front runners on the rear. Just want to alleviate a potential problem. Plus losing the weight of the steel wheels and heavy stock tires would be a help.

Have someone with machining skills put in a new bolt pattern in your rear hubs. I did this for my friend that raced a front wheel drive Skylark. He had me put the standard 4 3/4 pattern and he ran some skinnys back there.

Thanks Rob. That's simple enough. Did you just drill them for press in studs? Or drill and tap them for screw ins? What about the brake drums or discs? Just match with a comparable pair?

Yes Robert, he gave me moroso studs and after I drilled & reamed to size we pressed them in. I thought press fit was easier so that is what we used. His car was a middle 80s Skylark and it had drums. I would think you could do the same mod to a disc brake car.

Try Ebay for some wheels. You probably won't find 3 inch wide wheels but you will find 6 inch wheels. For a very small price.
I got a pair of brand new 3 inch wide wheels on Ebay a few years ago for $150.

Call Carl Blank. At one time he had both gold and polished magnums he got from Weld. His number is 573-864-2275. I'm sure he can help you find some on the cheap.

Just a thought, how about a pair of the donut spare rims, with say a 165/80R15 tire? That whole setup could be done under $150. Billy used a pair of those style rims on the front of his project. I used to use them all the time on the rear of FWD cars in demolition derbies since I could drag them easier if the rear got pushed too far in...

i've used spare tire rims off of a FWD car on my turbo Sunbird. The lightest stock wheels that you will find are 13" J-car wheels.

Thanks to everyone that replied. Solves my dilema regarding the rear wheels. I have 2 sets of 15x3 wheels for GM's. I can put a set of these to use. Thanks for your offer Ron. Look forward to seeing you at the Nationals.

Just asking here, anyone got a set of servicable front tires taking up space in the garage/trailer that you'd like to get rid of? The taller the better, brand's no big concern.
