mounting AFCO rears

My Son's 68 Camaro, basically a F/SA, has all Caltrac rear set up, how does everyone mount a large body shock to the lower spring plate? Shocks are in the stock positions. The body of the shock hits the plate.

This is an AFCO 3870R mounted in a 68 Camaro with Caltracs and split-mono springs. I used a bolt with spacers to get it away from the axle tube. I am also interested in how others have mounted theirs.

How much shock travel do you have for rebound/extension?

3" compression 4" extension @ ride height.

AFCO shocks can be mounted up-side-down. Look at the room available to see if doing that is an option.

Thanks...a stock camaro requires a stud at the top and the inner wheel house to trunk pan is too narrow for mounting upside down.
