Hey Joe, my nephew got warned about the hood on his car in tech. He has til the next race to change it. Seems they are going to follow OE which states the Pace car came with a raised hood with the 300 HP only. Guess we'll be changing engines this week. They told him to correct it before ATCO. Joe, there will be alot of changeing of the hoods going on. LOts of 350/255 camaro's with cowl hoods. I think an official announcement would be order or is this a D-1 rule?????

Who was the Tech person making this call.. a D1 guy, or the D2 guy who ocassionally shows up at D1 races??..

I've heard from alot of veteran old time Chevrolet guys that a cowl hood on a 69 Camaro with 255/350 is flat out bogus. Just people getting away with it to long. I'm not sure about 325/396's though

After many many years being okay, suddenly '69 Camaros with the 350/255 and a cowl hood is now wrong and MUST be changed but the fiberglass AFX hood on a '64 Comet SS/M is allowed to slide through tech with nothing said. Why?

Come on NHRA....get your act together!!!!!
