Kyle Ratcliff Crash
Stock driver Kyle Ratcliff, Denton, TX, was transported for medical evaluation after his car went out of control at the finish line during the first round of eliminations at the NHRA South Central Division Showdown at Sundown at Royal Purple Raceway Sunday morning.
Ratcliff's '98 Pontiac Trans Am, racing in the left lane, went sharply to the left after crossing the finish line, making hard contact with the left wall before coming to a stop against the right wall. Ratcliff's opponent, Slate Cummings, Ponchatoula, LA, was not involved in the accident. I hope Kyle is ok. Tom |

Re: Kyle Ratcliff Crash
I hope he is ok. At first i thought it was a joke after reading all the previous posts. Maybe it was caused by left over jet fuel from last nights run.

Re: Kyle Ratcliff Crash
Wish this was another humorous Ratcliff thread but no such luck.
I just got a call from Kyle's dad Pete and he said Kyle has several broken ribs, a deflated lung, and will stay in the hospital at least overnight. Going to be very sore for a while. Fortunately he has a great family and racing family to help him through this mess. Get well soon Kyle! Tracy |

so sorry to hear about the crash. Hope Kyle recovers quickly. This is every mother's nightmare who has a child in racing...
