Mineshafts Conditions "REALLY"
NHRA has announced changes to the CIC system including refinement of the policy concerning permanent index reductions as the result of performance at events with favorable atmospheric conditions termed “Mineshaft Conditions” that was originally introduced prior to the 2011 season. Additionally, in an effort to maintain parity in the eliminator several individual class indexes have been adjusted following an extensive review of performances during the 2012 season.
So NHRA gives Competition Eliminator adjustment for “Mineshaft Conditions” but Stock and Super Stock doesn't get the same consideration [reduction in HP] in same type of conditions !!!!!!! When the “Mineshaft Conditions” cause the "EXTRA" HP to be given. I am so confused but I could have missed the post about removing HP. Haven't been on here in a while. |

Bobby, it's because they don't care.

Re: Mineshafts Conditions "REALLY"
Why doesn't every competitor in stock and super stock email Bruce with the request to do the same as comp???

Re: Mineshafts Conditions "REALLY"
I presented a "suggestion" to this effect a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly(?), Bruce was very receptive to it, as was every racer I discussed it with. The powers to be shot it down!!

Re: Mineshafts Conditions "REALLY"
Hey Guys
I made a request for this at our SRAC meeting this week. There was no interest. Unless there was a specific plan on how it would work I don't see it going anywhere. The plan would require very simple parameters and require no weather stations or additional hardware that they do not already have. It will almost have to be calculated off of the top 10 or 15 quailifers much like the Comp rule, if they go very fast and then the targets changes. The problem with that in STK/SS is, no one goes to the stripe if the air is great and they think they can get triggered. If someone does go to the stripe and everyone else does not he just got triggered. With these mentioned parameters and the collective knowledge of racer on this site maybe someone can come up with a plan they would except. Thanks Mike Crutchfield |

Re: Mineshafts Conditions "REALLY"
And in Comp, it's not just your engine combo, it's the whole class.

Re: Mineshafts Conditions "REALLY"
For those of you who want this in S/SS my suggestion is build a Comp Car and stop trying to bastardize our class even more !!!

Re: Mineshafts Conditions "REALLY"
How about the racer who goes out in these conditions ON KILL ..and goes fast ..
famous last words'" I didn't know it was fast."... COME ON MAN! |
