GT Combo?
Was wondering if a GT legal Chrysler engine would be legal in an AMC product. Thanks in advance.

Re: GT Combo?
I saw a Dodge Avenger at the Cecil Co. AMC only race about 6-7 years ago with a 366 CI AMC combo that was classified as a SS/GT car.Ran a few tenths under the index if I remember correctly

Re: GT Combo?
There's only two AMC Stocker's that I know in the USA, well with V-8's anyways, and they both have Chrysler rear ends. And I've got the letter from NHRA sayin' it's acceptable. Corporate means corporate!
So what is it you are dreamin' about? If really can't think of a Chrysler engine that looks better than any 1967-1972 AMC V-8. If you would like to PM me, let's talk! Maybe a 6-pack. But I doubt it compares to a x-ram 390. And I doubt a Hemi can be light enough as a GT combo to be competitive. I'm all ears! |
