Which S/S class can I run in?

I was thinking about going to one of those Stock/Super Stock races this weekend. I've never ran in a class race before. My car is supposed to be legal, I've got my license, the only thing I don't have is a legal weight box. I think my car is supposed to be in SS/DA. Can I run in SS/CA instead? My car weighs 3450 lbs. It is a 2011 V-10 Drag Pak Challenger. Thanks for your help.

Thank you. I just thought it would be easier to run SS/CA than to install a weight box etc.

How much do you and the car weigh ready to go down the track? To run "C" the car needs to weigh with driver 3320 lbs. min to 3544 lbs. max.

Since this looks like your first class rodeo I'd thought I'd show you where Larry and Stephen got the numbers...the weight breaks link is right here on ClassRacer..then in the classification guide you get your HP rating which is currently 450 for SS to which you add the nominal driver weight used by NHRA (170lbs). Stick and Auto classes share weight breaks unless noted otherwise. Sometimes people just starting in class forget they need to add the 170.

SS/C 7.00-7.49
SS/D 7.50-7.99

I don't know what to do with that one. Ran it in outlaw a few times this year.

Just curious how many cubes that Sonny Leonard motor is, and have you run any quarter mile times with it...

762 cubic inches. But I have never ran it in the quarter. All we have around here is 1/8 mile tracks, which is fine with me.
