Anyone going to Indy for the open?
 

Is anyone planning to go to Indy this weekend for the National Open? Will we need our snow tires? LOL We are considering going, but I am concerned about how the track will be with the cooler temps.

yea I plan on going just to make sure car is alright for next year after a lot of breakage this year and I have the same concern as you about the track with chance of rain on friday and low Temp.

As of today they show a chance of Rain on Saturday, but the temps look better. I am sure the forecast will change several times before then.

I will be there with the super street and super comp cars and both of the LAUTERBRATZ jr dragsters.

Well, we had a great time seeing everyone at Indy but the track was terrible. It's a wonder they didn't have any wrecks. The higher horsepower super gas cars couldn't make it down. When they called us to the lanes Saturday morning it was 46 degrees! That is just stupid! I knew that I was going to get a hit on the tree then have to lift. They were more interested in getting the race in than the safety of the racers.
