They should go back to rosin the powder and let the first pair do 2 dry hops. i think i spelled rosin right?

I'm surprised by the "Don't care" votes. Could be bracket racers. Most Powerglides, too much tire, soft hit converters, etc. Understandable though, they need to hook on marginal bracket race tracks. Some locals go to a divisional race and can't tell the difference.

VP will work just fine if the track is prepped correctly. There were stock suspension cars on 275/60 radials going 1.13 60' this past weekend at South Georgia on a VP prepped track.

Agreed.. I wonder how many racers actually know what is being sprayed yet they stick with the VHT is better story. I've heard of tracks putting VP into VHT drums then making a show of what they used. Also of note is whether the track is spraying at 100% or diluting. Lot more to this than just the product.

Several of us have had to run on tracks that had changed to VP and then went to crap. Which later changed back to VHT to get back to normal. That's nobody's imagination.

So, I guess only a few know how to correctly use VP?

Our track manager uses Strip Grip. Small manufacturer, SUPERB results.
We are consistently 1.28 60' with small-block Olds, turbo 350 (252:1 low) 4.56 rear, 13" slicks and 3250 lbs.

I run brackets and get beat up by the powerglide cars most of the time but NONE of them have the fun of landing a 3' high 80' long wheelie 5 to 10 times a day.

Strip Grip works in cool and hot weather. One thing the track has to do is scrape it, then drag it for a few hours with the right compound of tires. He has found used circle track slicks (asphalt circle burners) are the best.

There are choices but the most critical thing is preparation BEFORE the spraying. I ran tracks for 15 years. There is a heck of a lot more to it than the GLUE, guaranteed.

It's going to be very difficult to convince the division 3 racers....that VHT isn't much better....especially with our huge temperature swings.....whatever the division 3 crew did....it was good....and certainly VHT was part of it.....

Rock, all you have to do is talk to Bill " Redman " Floyd the d3 starter for years, and one of the best track prep guys around. He refused to work on the track last year in Columbus until they got some VHT.
