new cars

I know I may get hammered for asking this, but please remember I am not a racer just a spectator. I don't know the technical aspect of the horsepower output of the engines. My question is what should the new car combo's really be? I do enjoy the new cars but am a huge fan of the older cars like John Shaul's max wedge. My question is how do we have the best of both worlds and still have the good performance we all want.

Thats easy......NHRA tech drept. should get their head out of their butts and just factor the new cars to where they belong !

Simple: All the cars, not in the spirt of a traditional Stocker, should be in their own classes. Call them what you want--Factory Modified, Factory Expiramental, etc.

I always said: If you could not buy the car, AS IS, from a local dealership, license it, register it, insure it, and drive it home, it is NOT a Stocker.

Now as for the rest of your question...that's a really touchy subject on here.
