Carb Recommendation
Building a 509 with AFR 325cc heads with CNC chambers, and Comp Cams .800int. .765ex. with 112 lobe sep. 280 deg int. /290 exh. @.050
3000lb car with glide 5500 stall. Looking to do a combo of footbraking at first and then maybe some Super Street. Looking at 1050 dominators 8896 and 9375. Was told by Holley that the 9375 was for a 2x4 setup and the 8896 was for a single four. The boosters are the same but the metering blocks and air bleeds are different. He also said that the fuel curve with a 9375 on a single four would be fat. Seems like an awful lot of huys run 9375's with a single four setup. Does anyone run the 8896's? |
Re: Carb Recommendation
Even though the 9375 is supposed to be set up for a two carb engine it's a better choice of the two on a single carb engine, the 8896 metering sucks. If you are looking at new the QFX 4700 two circuit would be a better choice. Similar to this one I put together.
