Hi Ed, I want to go racing and Numidia will be first on the list for some testing after such a long vacation from racing, it's all about the money and I spend every penny I have down to the nickels, no secret savings account here. The new roof that was quoted at 5K needed to be sheathed which added 1900 to that price. I should be out in the fall, I'm running out of things to go wrong. Still need new ramps, trailer tires, SFI damper, seat belts, SFI flexplate and fire suit just to bring the Sport Fury out as is, my main racing goal though is to finish the Challenger.

I had a 6-71 run away on one of my fishing boats. We had a genius help us with the rebuild and he put the rack in backwards.
Stuffed rags in the intake and it slow but couldnt stop it. Had to hit it with a fire extinguisher. To finally stop it.

You gotta love that sound Art, I had an 8-92 in my old Ford CL9000 tractor trailer when I was an Owner Op, what a beast to work on, I once ran it out of fuel, that's a long story for another day.

When I was young this old diesel mechanic showed me this 2" thick board with a gate handle screwed on top and asked me if I knew what its for. He said its for a runaway diesel. .Always had it handy!

Most of the in-line 71 series diesels had a flap inside the airbox that was supposed to cover the blower inlet and shut the air off and kill the motor. They very rarely worked! I've seen GMC's with the liners so worn that they would run on the lube oil they sucked past the rings! Not a lot of fun!
