Big Thanks To All Who Helped Me At Jackson!
I posted this in the other "Jackson" thread but I want all concerned to see that I would like to thank everyone who helped me with my little "no brakes" problem Saturday morning. On the Q1 pass Saturday the battery fell back into the engine compartment and the positive post burned through both brake lines leaving me with no brakes. I didn't know this until I tried to stop at the other end. I managed to stop just short of the barriers. Needless to say I had to change my shorts when we got the car back to the trailer. Thanks for the loan of a car from Jeff Lewis to fetch parts and all the "mechanics" who jumped right in to help repair the damage so I could make first round! This is why I race, we are all family! Too many to list. I would probably forget someone anyway. You all know who you are, thanks so much. Jim

Re: Big Thanks To All Who Helped Me At Jackson!
Sorry to hear about your incident Jim, My Aspen has a factory bracket that connects the rear most hold down stud to the fenderwell. If you don't have that it might be worth trying to find one in a junkyard, It really ties the battery in there.

Just think if we were allowed to remove the front battery it wouldn't have happened. Glad you were able to get to a safe stop.
