Thanks to all our armed forces troops, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and the Coast Guard! It's a good feeling to have the best trained troops in the world preserving our freedom! I'm flying my big flag today.

I will be headed out shortly to have conversation with my hero.......my dad. He (and my mother) are at the National Cemetery in Phoenix. He was a POW in WWII. When anyone writes about "The Greatest Generation", they are talking about my dad.

Growing up as a Air Force brat, my family always lived in base housing, or very close to the base where my dad was stationed. Armed Forces Day frequently included open house types of displays and demonstrations on the bases. I used to love being able to climb around inside bombers and sit in fighter jet cockpits. I was very proud of what my dad did for a living :)

How close do you live to Cape Coral and Lee County, I need a backup plan for assisting the 90 year ole widow of a WWII vet.

Thank you, one and all, for your service. Doesn't matter which branch or where you were stationed.This is one place our similarities outweigh our differences. Also, thank all of you that help our veterans.
