The track was ground and repaved a couple of months back. It has some teeth now, and is very smooth from burnout to shutdown!

It looks like first S/SS qualifing pass is at 1:00pm and eliminations at 5:00pm?

Gates at 11:00 (but they're always open by 10:00), qualifying at 1:00, eliminations at 4:00. It'd be great to have you here, Jim!

Edit: Now that I say that, there seems to be a discrepancy between the flyer and the schedule listed on the site:

Lately, they've been trying to finish earlier. I'll do my best to make it work for everyone, as S/SS is the big show this weekend!

I did post this in the events section of this site on February 8th, which is as soon as I found out it was on again after a year's hiatus (different management last year). We started this in 2009, and have two races per year. Since there will now be a Fall NHRA National Open, we'll continue to have the spring S/SS race the weekend before the NHRA D5 points meet at Great Bend. We could even have more S/SS races if the car count could justify. If you have ideas for a better race date, or better ways to inform everyone, please let me know.
