MASCA & MASGA Series open up season on April 28th & 29th
 

Super Gas & Comp Racer prepares to kick off 2012 season on April 28th & 29th at Atco Raceway.

Atco, NJ – The Mid Atlantic Super Gas & Comp Associations will kick off their season in 2 short weeks at Joe Sway’s Atco Raceway in Southern New Jersey. MASGA will be entering its 7th season while MASCA will be entering its 3rd.

In the off-season both MASCA & MASGA added sponsorship from Auto Meter Inc. & K&N Filters with both companies offering up contingency to the winner & runner-up of all events in 2012. Also Crane Cams Inc. out of Daytona Beach, Fl & Brodix Cylinder Heads out of Mena, Ar have offered up a special offer to all Super Comp Competitors. Crane Cams will offer up a special program at all 8 events in 2012. The “Perfectly Crane Award” will offer up a $250.00 Certificate towards Crane Cam products to the 1st driver to run 8.900 in eliminations and win that round. Brodix on the other hand will offer up a certificate towards a brand new engine block to the 2012 MASCA Champion.

As always both MASCA & MASGA will offer 2 races in the same weekend to off-set the cost of Gas & Towing Miles on your equipment. Also as an added bonus anyone who would like to leave their trailers at the track for the following weekend’s PC Richards NHRA Open will be allowed to do so. So for 1 tow you get the chance at 3 events. Gates will open on Friday Night at 4:30 (Weather Permitting) the 27th for anyone traveling from a long distance and would like to park early. On Saturday, April 28th & Sunday the 29th gates will open at 9am. Entry fee into the event is $30.00 to be paid to the track & $70.00 to be paid to Leanne Luciano Fogerty for Super Gas and Rob Keister for Super Comp. Payouts are based off of 32 car entry fee with the winner of the event claiming a “cool” $1,000. As an added bonus for the Super Comp group, anyone who becomes a member and wins the event or runner-up’s you will receive an additional $400 to win or $100 to r/up from sponsor Aqua-Terra Environmental.

Real quick update regarding this weekend’s Super Comp / Gas Race. I talked with Joe the other day, there will be NO JUNIOR DRAGSTERS running at the track on Saturday or Sunday. He wants everyone ready to go and wants to send the 1st pair of Super Gas / Comp Cars down the track by 11 - 11:30am for the 1st Qualifying session. I assume Super Gas will run 1st followed by Super Comp so be there early as possible and ready to go. If you want to double enter and run the bracket race also we have no issue with that just be ready in-case you start to go rounds in both. Remember if you want to come for 1 day you are more then welcomed, we don;t hold you to staying for both events.
