CLASS RACER FORUM - Congrats to Mickey Smallridge

Dear Div. 1 T/S & T/D Competitors,

Just wanted to thank everyone that took the time to vote for me and I also want to thank the friends that campaigned for me at the very last minute, one of my best friends Dad recently passed away and another great friend of mines Dad was in bad shape do to a major surgery that went bad, So..... I really did not have much time to campaign, but..... then again we did not think that we would need to, we found out at the very last minute that someone had chose to run against me. So it was very important to get the word out quick because most people don't even realize that this vote comes up every 2 years.

I'm a hugh fan of appreciation..... and it was nice to see that the overwhelming majority have remembered and do appreciate all that we have accomplished with Division 1 Top Sportsman & Top Dragster over the years. There are many people in each Division that have done their part to help these 2 classes grow.....and Lord knows that we have done our part here in Division 1

When we introduced Top Sportsman to Division 1 at the 2004 Dutch Classic, it was only in a few other Divisions at the time. A short time latter we added Top Dragster and since then all of the NHRA Divisions have added Top Sportsman & Top Dragster to their programs.

Both Classes are now part of the Jegs All Stars Event ( Which was Huge )

Both classes are now at ( 7 ) select National Events and we feel that number will grow in the future.

In 2012 we have a ( 9 ) race Series in Division 1.......the most we ever had.

These 2 Classes have came along ways, and I really do appreciate those of you that have taken a minute to realize this. I have said it many times......and I want to stress it again, we could have put together the best programs on the planet.....BUT if all of you did not support these 2 Series then we would never have accomplished all that we have.

So....I would like to personally thank all of you for supporting our Division 1 Top Sportsman & Top Dragster programs and I also want to thank all of the Great Sponsors that we have had along the way as well.
