Memphis Combos - roll call!
 

Hey folks,

Just a quick note from the office here at Memphis International Raceway.

The topic of Combos has come up several times and the Track Manager Paul Cartwright and I wanted to reach out to the class car community.

We wanted to know who would be in for some down home Saturday Night 1/4-mile fun here in the Mid South?!?

Also, if the area tracks worked together then a 2-day, 2-race possibility could exist. Saturday night 1/4-mile fun, Sunday afternoon 1/8-mile action!

We're planning around the IHRA points meet, NHRA national/points meet, and Bowling Green schedules and have identified 3-4 dates that appear to be pretty clear.

So gang, who's in for some down home fun, Saturday Night Combo Shootout style?

If you run anything 1/4 mile ie.. combos, bracket racing, 8.90 9.90.10.90 etc. count me and many more local racers in that are chomping at the bit to run quarter mile again.

I might come for a two day race. You guys need to re- think the dates on your points race. I know a lot of folks that won't come to Memphis to race in August.

Woke up to about 4-6 inches of heavy wet snow.Racing anywhere in August has to be better than this.

Quick update gang...

I've spoken to drivers in 3 states that have committed to being here. Several have agreed to pass the word to their buddies in the SS/S ranks to join the fun too.

Now, as Track Manager Paul Cartwright has said, "We just need to find a date."

Our hope is the area tracks will work together so a 2 day Combo event for class cars could take place.

That would rock wouldn't it!?!
