S/G Brake pad recommendation

Does anyone have a Wilwood brake pad recommnendation for a Super Gas car? Wilwood suggests "B" pads or "E" pads depending on who you talk to. Strange reccomends a softer pad in front with a propotioning valve but does not know much about Wilwwod specs.

I just do not want to have any supprises the first time I run it full out.

Weight 2400#
anticipated MPH 160-165

Thanks in advance

Re: S/G Brake pad recommendation

I've had the best results with the Wilwood polymatrex B on the rear brakes ,and Polymatrex E on the front. ...Both last about 80-100 runs neutraling and shutting off the car
My car weighs 2300# and runs mid 160's
I have a limiter valve on the front brakes to slow the initial hit mainly for tracks that dont have much spray on them since the weight bias is 54% on the rear.
There are a lot of variables involving pads, pedal ratio, pressure ,track condition & temp, weight and speed.[ and wether you want to make the car dissapear at the finish line!!]

Well said Tom,
I also use the B's on the rear and the E's on the front I change em 2 times a year as well as replacing the fluid. My Proportioning Valve is set at 65% to the rear.

I always ran the gator pad on my vette roadster front and rear. It will stop so you have to get use to them.

They're the small single piston spindle mount brakes.
Barney, those Gator pads are the best pad I tried for a heavy car,I have them on my Willys, but they were way too agressive for the Vette.
I didnt think they were available anymore.

Tom,
Thank's for the info. Appreciate it. I think I have the same set-up on the front as you.

Tom, I just seen gator pads listed at Summit Racing so they must still make them.
