There is a Best Western in Donaldsonville. According to their website, they are pet friendly.

Take a look at www.bringfido.com it is a good website, wife and I have used
it a number of times for trips with our 80 lb golden. Nice hotels too.

Drury Inn Baton Rouge. We took our caavys ther,. pretty new and reasonable!
