Question about dragsters
 

Hopefully I'm in the right forum,if not sorry.Anyway ,I was in Vegas last weekend at the nhra nationals,and it was loud and I couldn't hear what class it was ,but they were running in the 9's.
Dragster 's launching hard , then what looked like coasting till about the 330' line and hammering it again.I have seen this before but never asked.Can someone give me a quick explanation?Thanks. Paul

Thanks for the reply 1leg.Were getting somewhere.Next question....why is it like that? I drag race,I have heard of throttle stops( didn't know what they were for though)but what is the game?is there a forum discussing this?
