NHRA Announces Changes to Class Guide
NHRA Announces Changes to Class Guide
As a result of the sixteen horsepower added to the 2008 Ford Cobra Jet (manual only) 330 cubic inch 425/491 in Stock Eliminator, the combination is no longer eligible for Stock Eliminator. This is due to the combination now required to carry 610 pounds of ballast. Per the 2011 NHRA Rulebook Section 20 page 16-17 it reads in-part "Maximum amount of removable and/or permanent ballast, unless otherwise stated under Class Requirements is 500 pounds." |

Re: NHRA Announces Changes to Class Guide
So backing up, at what hp will the autos no longer be in stock?? At 491 the sticks carry 610 extra 110 over the legal amount. Tom

Re: NHRA Announces Changes to Class Guide
The spec sheets show this combo to be 491 HP in stock and 425 HP in SS. Does this change in the guide carry over for SS?
