Nhra classification
If there were say 2000 cars made in a certain model and ALL were produced with an auto but the manual trans was an available option does that mean a person can run the manual if they wanted??????
p.s. If this is in wrong section, sorry!!! |
Re: Nhra classification
If it was a factory option then yes you can run a manual with the original number of forward gears.

Re: Nhra classification
Check the Classification Guide. If they built 2000 of them with an auto but no standard, then they may not have submitted that combo for classification. The Guide should tell you.

Re: Nhra classification
Don't assume, check the NHRA guide. IHRA will let you run a stick or auto in a combo that the NHRA only has one choice. The combo I'm building is only allowed a stick, even though 99% were built with automatics.
