weight
Has any one seen a 3702 lb mustang convertable with a 460 486hp engine run a 7.40 or less 1/8 mile? If so how did he do it? Bob.

Re: weight
I am not certain that we fully understand your question, but my Beth's 3650 lb P/SA or I/FIA 302 powered convertible Mustang stocker can go 7.80's at will.
So to anwer your question, if you give me another 158 and cubic inches and 186 more HP I suspect that our team would have zero difficulty making that car go 6.40's in the 1/8. 7.40's would be a piece of cake. |
Re: weight
There's no reason why it *shouldn't* run faster, but don't expect it bone stock right out of the crate. Gear, converter, typical "Stocker" engine build... That being said, Pittsburgh *was* incredibly slow. How much oil are you running, and what weight? Check timing, etc... all the basics.
