Who is going to Joliet this weekend?
 

We are headed up there tomorrow with a detour to NRC in IN to have a couple of little things fixed on the motorhome on Thursday, before heading on to the track on Thursday. We haven't been to the points race there in a few years. Do you enter at the back of the track after going thru the parking lot of the round track like you do for National events?

I don't know if they will let you in the front or back end of the track. They are normally pretty good about signage. What I do know is that I-80 is tore up from I-55 on the West end over to New Lenox on the east side. One lane open each way. If you are coming up I-55 you might want to exit at Arsenal Road and go East to Route 53, then head North.

We're coming, thankfully the weather looks good (except for Friday) and its not going to be hot!

I was even told to take the Coal City exit and go over to 53 from there as there is some construction around Arsenal Rd.

I'll be there, probably Thursday night. How late can you get in to park in the pits? I thought I read 11pm somewhere, anyone know?

I know Rob Turkal I/Stick, Bill Dyer SS/N, Greg Anderson M/SA, Joe Schaechter E/S, Jim Schaechter AA/S ( Bob Gipson's Corvette), and I think the Lund Boys SS cars. There were several Illinois racers testing at Cordova last weekend. The construction traffic on I-80 has been bad.

How bad is 80 ? We normally come down 39 south to 80 east. Shoud we look at another route ? We would probably be to 80 around 10pm tonight for us - trying to make the gate by 11
