Hello, everybody. Looks like it's going to be a great weekend for racing! Forecast says low 80s for today and tomorrow, mid 70s Saturday and high 60s for Sunday with a zero percent chance of rain for all four days

Today is test-n-tune day. Testing starts a 11 and ends at 6. I will try to get some video of it. I'll post the Friday and Saturday schedule shortly. More later ...

Just out of curiousity, how could they predict a set number of entries in any category with it being a open gate (no pre-entry req'd)? Doesn't really matter, just struck me as odd they show Stock 65, Super Stock 45, etc. Assuming it's just an estimate in order to allocate time slots...

I guess they use the entries from years past to make an estimate. Hey, it's Mike Rice ... he's the best there is. :) These are the schedules that came with the packet every racer received at the gate.

Also, every racer got a free crew ticket. Gold and silver card holders don't get any extras though. I told them to call Mike Rice and ask him. Mike told them gold and silver card holders only get a car and driver free. Well, everybody gets a car, driver and crew. Happens every year at this race. Oh well, I'm not going to worry about it.

Jody isn't coming to this race. Qualifying starts tomorrow a 8 AM. I'll try to get as much video as I can.

Well, it's another beautiful morning here in Southern California. I even got a little farmer's tan (sunburn) going on from yesterday. We've only seen the sun a couple of times in Seattle this year. Hope you guys don't get any rain in Atlanta. The forecast there actually looks pretty good.

I guess it's time to get warmed up and go make a thousand footer! More later ...
