Eleven of the top fifteen at Indy last year were new cars.

All things taken into account, it's not really that impressive of a feat. They SHOULD be up at the top, ALL the time. Bragging about winning Class in a new car would be like me bragging that I went to the middle school playground and beat up all the nine year old kids.

With there rating they should be 10 of 10 if every one of them ran it out the back door.

Sad to see NHRA allow this issue to create a "PRO and CON" camp on the new cars. They are what is NEEDED to get the crowd re involved but with a class of their own maybe. FX. Putting them in existing classes without a clue of HP reality is doing a miserable attack on the S and SS eliminator racers.

Could you just imagine them in their own class and then having to run heads-up with each other (yes i can ) and that is the way it should be...Talk about fun to watch. The next question would be: Is the fastest one really the fastest or is the slowest one really the fastest? Anyone ? anyone? ......Who knows ? lol ..

Danny, that would be cool. Having the Challengers vs Mustangs, in a shootout similar to the Hemi Challenge. The fans and manufacturers could really get into that, I think, and it wouldn't upset the other 98% of Stock racers.

BTW, no nine year olds were harmed in the making of my post above.

Good post,Dick ...A/FX, B/FX would be fine, but what about the new "235 " hp Fords, etc?

NHRA needs to quit buying these ridiculously low ratings on these new cars...

Yeah , like that's really going to happen LOL
