RIP Russ Williams
Russ Williams, long time crew/friend and almost family member to Bob Huetmann ,Steve Ambrose and Rey Argenta, passed away last night at home in Lavonia Michigan. I will pass along further info for services, as I get them. If you ever met him, you knew you met a great man and a friend forever. Godspeed my friend, rest easy.

First met Russ in 1959 at Detriot Dragway he was track Champion in Stock in 1960 or 61 with a black 1960 Chevy 2-door post car 283 230 hp as I remember. Story goes the Champ got a colored TV as top prize,a big deal at that time but when Gil Cohon presented the prize it was a Black & White picture but the TV housing was colored. Couldn't have met a nicer guy RIP

I would like to meet you sometime. Russ was my dad and he was the track champ twice at Detroit Dragway and won at the 1960 nationals.
