I haven't seen any comments about Kurt Busch

Entered in Pro Stock at the Gators. Who's car is he in?
Maybe now Pro stock will get some better coverage than it did at Pomona.

It couldn't get much worse. Was almost like Pro Stock Truck just before the decision to eliminate the class.

Who cares about him?
Isn't this a sportsmen's forum?

I met Kurt on 2 different times in the past few years and he had met my dad the year before. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. The first day he was testing in Roy Hills cars my son and I went to Piedmont Dragway to park out trailer for a 3 day race and I noticed who it was, we walked up on the starting line and Kurt stopped what he was doing to walk over to my son in his Nascar Driving suit and say, "my name is Kurt Bush nice to meet you"....my son was 9 feet tall. He remember talking to my dad and for a first timer in a lenco car he was very smooth and went 4.80 in his first all out pass 1/8 mile.

I saw a marketing survey that only 1% of Americans know of drag racing on a local level, anything we can do to get positive press to double our fan base would be huge.

Maybe the Busch thing will be good for Pro Stock as will probably get airtime on the nascar talk shows during week leading up to Gators, the PR can't hurt and will bring some viewers. My fear is though Pro Stock coverage next week could degenerate into the Kurt Busch Show if he qualifies. Of course this also means we'll be getting Force's expert opinions about nascar. I'm not expecting miracles, but will be thankful if Pro Stock recieves an extra minute or two of coverage.

The way I see it, NASCAR has the biggest group of motorsports fans in North America by far, and anything that causes some of them to notice drag racing and maybe become fans of our sport is a good thing. You can bet there will be many people tuning into the Pro Stock coverage of the Gators that never did before, and also that the NASCAR-oriented media will give it a lot of attention.

We need all the extra publicity we can get; especially with the apparent need to reverse a current slump in drag racing attendance & participation.

That is amazing. I believe it for sure. I have been making it a point to invite people to the race track these days that in the past I would not of.
