Re: Winternationals in car videos....
The in car video is really cool, but the sound blows big time. They need to get sound from outside the car. They would have to experiment with mic location to get the sound right. A wide angle lense would provide a view as if you were sitting in the back seat. That would be sweet. But thanks for the effort anyway, cause we did get some enjoyment from it. Ofcourse this is just my opinion but watching an automatic car is like driving one, it just aint as much fun as a stick! I'm wondering if there is a mic extention for the cameras Kyle has and the ability to change out lenses. Probably not for $189. I think the in-car (wheels up, gear banging, wide open) could go along way to bringing folks into the sport. The multi camera mix would be the ultimate in coverage. Thanks for the videos.

Re: Winternationals in car videos....
We started using the ReplayXD cameras in Brogdons PS car last year.
The microphone is located in the camera itself with no remote plug in available..... but.... the cap that covers the back of the camera is where the microphone is located, and by drilling a .050 or .075 hole in the cap, you can increase the audio capabilities. The cameras have got tremendous capabilities and they've just finished a line of mounts that will allow you to use the camera dang near anywhere. I have discovered that they're not real good with just candle light..... but that's a tale for another day :-) BTW, we carry them in the rig, so if you're at a race and want to get one, stop by & ask for me.
