IHRA teardowns

When does IHRA conduct teardowns? Is anyone aware of any teardowns they have conducted say in the last year especially not record runs? From discussions with other racers this could be a reason some racers don't run IHRA.

Your kidding, right? If you think somebody is cheating, protest them.

If you set a record you must tear down. The only difference is IHRA has you tear down prior to the runs and then seals the motor. IHRA is a good place to race I don't know why there is all the bull%@#* about their races.

Ed, you run IHRA don't you? I guess we now have an IHRA track (Tucson) less than 3 hours from my house.
I am waiting for a new honing plate to arrive by UPS by Wednesday (somehow mine disappeared) and I'll follow that with a visit to the shop to drop it off. We're going to work on a deadline to get this project wrapped up.
I'm setting a goal with the shop that we're going to start with an IHRA record. Haven't had that privilege before! Of course Tucson in the summer might not be that easy...

If you do decide to set a record show up FRIDAY with a head off. Do the deal and have them seal the engine bolts after your certified and reassemble the engine for the record runs time frame. IHRA dosent have the man power to do it during the race on Sat. Maybe if more would start showing up then IHRA could bring in more help and get back to the way it was done in the past.

If you did run one it sure didnt help your driving any. Most dont use the clutch anyway. Have you ever won a race with IHRA or even a round ?
